Finance — Project Reports and CMA Data

Banks and other lenders ask for financial documents in specific formats. Chirde and Associates, Chartered Accountants, prepares these documents from the information and records you provide, and explains what each document shows. Lending and scheme decisions rest with the bank or agency concerned; our role is to prepare accurate and well-organised documentation.

How we work

From requirement to documents

  1. Understand the need

We discuss the purpose of the report or documentation, the amount and period involved, and the lender's requirements.

  2. Collect and verify data

Financial statements, tax returns, project estimates, quotations and other documents are reviewed for completeness and consistency.

  3. Prepare the documents

The report, projections or CMA data are prepared and discussed with you, with assumptions stated clearly.

  4. Hand over and support

The completed file is handed over to you for submission to the lender. We then help with explanations of the figures when queries arise, and with documents for renewals and enhancements.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is a DPR?

A Detailed Project Report is a document describing a proposed project: the business, market, cost, financing, projected income and expenses, and repayment capacity. Lenders and agencies use it to evaluate the proposal.

What is CMA data?

CMA data is a set of statements, often covering past years, current estimates and future projections, in the format that banks use to assess working capital limits and monitor the borrower's operations.

Which documents does a bank usually ask for with a loan application?

Typically these include KYC of the borrower and promoters, financial statements and tax returns for recent years, bank statements, project or business details, projections, and details of security offered. Each bank has its own checklist, so please confirm with the bank.

Who decides on a loan or a scheme benefit?

Decisions on loans and scheme benefits rest with the lending institution or the implementing agency. The firm's role is limited to preparing documentation and explaining requirements. Scheme terms and eligibility change from time to time, so please verify on the official portal of the scheme.

Does every valuation need a Registered Valuer?

No. It depends on the purpose; the Valuation Services page explains when the law requires a Registered Valuer or another prescribed professional.
