Chirde and Associates, Chartered Accountants, assists owners, managers and founders in organising these matters on sound financial and legal footing, including the set-up of new ventures. Frequently asked questions
How do I decide between a proprietorship, partnership, LLP and company?
The choice depends on the number of owners, the extent of liability protection sought, tax treatment, compliance burden, funding plans and the nature of the business. We set out the comparison for your facts so that you can decide.
Is recognition under Startup India required for a startup?
No. Recognition by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is optional. It may make an entity eligible for certain benefits, subject to conditions. Please verify the current eligibility criteria on the official portal.
What does startup set-up support cover?
It usually covers the choice of entity, the registrations the business needs, bookkeeping and banking documentation, a budget and basic MIS, and a calendar of early compliances. Incorporation filings are made through the MCA portal, and legal agreements are drafted by advocates.
What is an MIS report?
MIS stands for Management Information System. In a small business it usually means a periodic set of reports, such as a profit and loss summary, receivables and payables, stock position and cash flow, prepared in a format that helps management decide.
Can you prepare the legal documents for founders or succession?
We advise on the financial and tax aspects. Documents such as founders' or shareholders' agreements, wills, partnership deeds or family settlements are drafted by qualified legal professionals, and we coordinate with your advocate for this.
